The Clouser (as it’s known all over the world) is an nearly universal fly that can be jigged, swum or hopped along the bottom. In that latter style, it makes a simple but effective crayfish imitation, especially in rivers, where the flowing water give the bucktail more movement. It’s quite simple to tie, but as this video offers a few tricks for working with bucktail, which make for a much neater fly.
