These two rifles are popular with both collectors and shooters. On the left is a Winchester Model 9422M. Offered in a wide range of versions, the 9422M was made to very high standards from 1972 to 2004, making it a solid success for Winchester despite the premium price. It’s currently in demand both as a collectible and as a fine practical rifle. The rifle shown here was made in 1975 in .22 WMR, a chambering that is particularly popular with collectors. In near new condition, these models can bring in more than $1,000.
The rifle on the right, meanwhile, is a Winchester Model 94 in .30-30, made in 1955. Such Model 94s from the Second World War era to 1963 are also in demand with both collectors and shooters. Versions chambered in .30-30 and .32 Win. Special can run from $750 to more than $1,000, depending on the condition. And the rare .25-35 Win. chambering adds a substantial premium of 50 to 100 per cent more.
