We woke up Monday morning to 20 centimetres of snow on the ground and a lot more in the forecast. As the wind and weather were both expected to get worse throughout the day, Steve recommended we stick to one of the lakes closest to base camp. He had caught some nice brookies and rainbows there just a week or so prior so it sounded like a solid plan. It didn’t take us too long to pack up the snowmobiles and we were on our way.
