Wow. This I did not expect. Last night at the annual Canadian Society of Magazine Editors awards banquet, we picked up yet more hardware. For the second year in a row, Outdoor Canada was named CSME Magazine of the Year (in the medium circulation category), while yours truly was named CSME Editor of the Year. Did I say “wow” already?
Of course, I heartily share these honours with Outdoor Canada‘s stable of great contributors and field editors and my incredible staff: Managing Editor Bob Sexton, Associate Editor Scott Gardner, Art Director Sandra Cheung and Associate Art Director Matt Filion. Well done yet again, folks!
Tonight, Outdoor Canada and its contributors are up for even more honours at the annual National Magazine Awards Foundation gala in Toronto, including the coveted NMAF Magazine of the Year. Can we be so lucky? Stay tuned! Whichever way it goes, we’re just happy to be putting such a good foot forward on behalf of Canada’s fishing and hunting community.
Both awards ceremonies are held in conjunction with Canada’s annual magazine industry convention, MagNet, which draws the top magazine professionals from across the country. For more on MagNet, click here.
