What’s the point of this rather odd-looking two-material hoodie? It’s designed to be worn under chest waders or bib-style rain or snow pants. So, the hood and shoulders are ready to face the elements with water-shedding nylon and quilted PrimaLoft insulation, while the lower part is made of stretchy fleece, like a mid-layer garment, and tucks into waders or bibs without creating excess bulk. There’s also a quarter-length front zip, zippered chest pocket and kangaroo hand-warmer pockets. There are both men’s (left) and women’s (right) versions, in the zazzy colours pictured, as well as a more sedate admiral blue.
