DETAILS: Since photographer Carla Simard’s 16-year-old son, Matthew, is a hard-core angler, he just had to make a few more casts despite a storm warning in the area. “I thought it would be cool to get a picture with lighting in the background,” he says. “Finally after a few minutes, we got the picture I was looking for.” Now that’s dedication to fishing—and photography—but next time, we highly recommend seeking shelter instead.
