In this episode, host Lawrence Gunther talks to Lena Azeez (above), from the Watershed Watch Salmon Society. Azeez is working with flood-prone communities from British Columbia’s lower mainland to build fish habitat safeguards into their flood prevention strategies. Habitat safeguards are often a low priority when communities worry about rising water, but Azeez says one doesn’t have to come at the expense of the other.
