Fishing reel

Day Six at Wolf Lake, Yukon

The lure of the Wolf River and its Arctic grayling was too great. So that’s where Gord and I spent our entire last day. We didn’t count the fish (here’s a photo of just one). I could tell you we caught and released upwards of 200 fish, but you’d call BS. So I won’t bother. Again, let’s just say it was insane. Good insane. They were taking nymphs, then a hatch came on and we switched to dries. Awesome. Many thanks to Michelle and Wes Walker, owners of Wolf Lake Wilderness Lodge, for the great hospitality. I’m in the airport in Whitehorse right now, and our flight is about to board. Back to the office tomorrow. Sigh.
