#4: The bass fishing is super
There’s nothing like the first chunky, feisty smallmouth of the season, especially when it leaps and tail-dances right by your kayak. As far as I can tell, the numerous bays, reefs and rockpiles within easy paddling distance of the park positively teem with bass. By the way, I took that shot myself, using my camera’s timer and a Scotty mount.
