#1: Temagami is wild, beautiful and unique
The Temagami region is legendary for its canoeing, backcountry hiking, camping and, of course, fishing—and for good reason. The massive lake is governed by a unique development plan that allows some cottages and camps on its islands, but almost none on the shoreline. As a result, there are very few roads, so most entrance into the backcountry is via boat or plane, creating a unique type of wilderness.
