#5: The huge, old-growth trees are genuinely awe-inspiring
If you can drag yourself off the water for a couple of hours, just minutes from the park you’ll find the Caribou Mountain and White Bear Forest Conservation Reserve. They boast several trails, a fire tower to climb and some really, really big old-growth pine trees. These were especially beloved by Mark who’s an arborist and all-around tree enthusiast. To give you a sense of scale, he’s a big dude, with a wingspan of six-and-a-half feet, and he barely reaches halfway around this epic white pine.
