Winter getaway: A family fishing adventure in Myrtle Beach

In Myrtle Beach there are over two-dozen charter companies operating party boats, offshore big-game trips and light-tackle inshore charters, serving anglers of all skill levels. On a recent visit I hit the water with my kid, Sam, and an old friend: Captain John Schuchman, of Reel Action Fishing Charters. And like last time we visited, Captain John had us on fish—a doubleheader of black drum—only minutes after leaving the dock.
