Outdoor Canada was one of the first magazines to showcase the Ned rig (invented by my friend Ned Kehde), which features a small chunk of soft-plastic stickbait on an ultralight jig. It’s very effective, but it also requires constant rearranging. Not so with the mushroom-shaped Finesse Jig Head, thanks to a spring that locks the soft-plastic in place. It comes in 1/8-, 3/32- and 1/16-ounce weights, all with a light-wire size 1 hook.
