Enjoy the scenery
No paddling/fishing trip to Algonquin would be complete without some wildlife sightings. Because the aquatic vegetation they eat is not yet abundant in the early season, moose are not as common along the banks of slow moving rivers and creeks in the spring. Regardless, Algonquin Park boasts a high population density of moose and multiple sightings are not uncommon for backcountry trips at any time of year. We saw seven on our trip.
