Details: Monica Cogswell and her husband, Mike, are self-described waterfowl hunting nuts. On the night before opening day last year, in fact, they and two friends slept on the shoreline so they wouldn’t miss a minute. At first, unfortunately, the ducks wouldn’t commit to their decoys. “We had a couple of initial passing shots,” Mike says, “but during a short lull, I decided to adjust the spread.” It worked, and Monica got this great photo to boot.
