Details: Enthusiastic hunter Brian Johnson says his friend Daryl Morgan snapped this photo with Johnson’s phone as the pair began a three-hour hike to pack out the results of their successful mule deer hunt. “It was a tough hike up the mountain on a day hunt, but once we got to the top, I was lucky enough to find a nice buck,” Johnson says. “We cut up the whole buck and put him in our packs for the hike out. We both had about 80 pounds on our backs.”
