Shallow-water anchoring systems have been all the rage of late, but most are designed for big tournament-style boats. MinnKota addresses this with its new eight-foot Talon. Now designed to deploy in three stages, it’s much shorter and compact than the previous two-stage model, making it suitable for a more modest-sized boat. Quick and quiet, it can hold a boat securely in place in up to eight feet of water, thanks to all the same features found on its big brother 10- and 12-foot models.
