DETAILS: Gwen Tomlin was photographing a den of foxes on a friend’s rural property when these three kits ventured out to play. “They all looked at the camera for mere seconds as if posing for a family portrait,” she says. Having grown up hunting, Tomlin says she sees the similarities between the sport and wildlife photography. “They require the same patience, love of the outdoors and understanding of wildlife habitat and behaviour.”
