#5 Winter is their best fishing season
Here’s a glorious coincidence: the peak fishing season in Belize exactly matches our winter months. The fishing is good all year, but it’s really, really good from November to April. Check out BRL’s fishing calendar (below) for specifics on angler faves like both adult and baby tarpon, bonefish, permit and snook.
By the way, my 18-pound tarpon (top) was a “baby” but it sure fought like a grown-up. For the full story, see “Beyond belief in Belize,” in Outdoor Canada’s 2018 Ice-Fishing Special issue or online.
